THE AMALFI COAST

The Amalfi Coast is made up of pastel fishing villages clinging to hillsides and lying in deep green valleys, strung along a dramatic coastline of plunging cliffs connected by the breathtaking Amalfi Drive. The region dates back to the first century A.C. when the Roman aristocracy built luxurious villas in the area. Equal parts culture and nature, this 43-mile stretch of coastline draws sun seekers to its hilltop gardens, art collections, lush valleys, music performances, and the glitzy see-and-be-seen resort towns.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Water – The hotel water is purified but they still drink bottled water.

Banks – The hotel can exchange currency at the front desk. There will not be an additional surcharge, however they will do the exchange at their rates. The Resort will accept travelers’ checks as long as it is to pay for the hotel’s services.

Currency – The EURO is the currency of Italy and the exchange rate fluctuates daily. You can easily exchange currency at the airport, hotel, or any bank. We recommend keeping your money in your own local currency and exchanging as needed.

Communication – International communications originating from Italy is easier than ever, however, it can be quite costly. The Amalfi Coast is compatible for cellular phone usage as well, and it is suggested you check with your carrier to inquire as to their requirements for making and receiving calls in Italy.

Medical – The area has modern, well-equipped and staffed facilities. Experienced doctors are just 5 minutes away from the resort.

Time – Average time in April for sunrise is 5:19am and sunset is 6:45pm.

Climate and Temperatures – April is a wonderful time to be in Italy – the average high is 18°C / 64°F and the average low is 8°C / 46°F. We do suggest that you check the weather prior to departure for the most current predictions.

Adult Friendly Environment - This resort is an adult friendly environment and we ask that all guests are 21 years of age or older.

Remember to bring:
Camera, universal wall adaptor, ipod, bathing suit, hat and sunscreen. It can get cooler at night so pack accordingly. Any specific attire for activities is outlined within the Activities tab.
